Can you guess the charming duo of the 90s that stole the heart of millions of Indian women and gave us memorable hits is uniting again on silver screen after almost 27 years? The pair is nonother than Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor who will be starring in 102 Not Out, a movie directed by Umesh Shukla of Oh My God fame. And the script starring these stellar actors is written by Soumya Joshi. The film is produced by Sony Pictures and will hit the theaters on May 4.

What is the Story of ‘102 Not Out’ About?

The story of the movie is purely refreshing one as it will explore the relationship of love between father and son in a unique way. Amitabh Bachchan is portraying the role of the father who is 102 years old, yet he is full of life, enjoys his every day and has the only mission to break the World Guinness book record for the longest living man. Whereas on another side Rishi Kapoor portrays the role of the son who is 75 years old but leads a dull and monotonous life and is passing through each day of his life for the sake of leaving. The plot explores the relationship between the two when a father is younger at heart than his son, and this brews up some fantastic comic scenes.

The trailer opens with 102-year-old Amitabh Bachchan telling his 75 years old son Rishi Kapoor in typical Gujarati accent about a Chinese man who currently holds the Guinness World record for the longest living person. The spot on dialogues and Gujarati accent by Amit sir grasp your attention, and within seconds you will find yourself chuckling. The pairing of both the actors as father and son looks super cute as Amit Sir makes fun of his son in every other situation. The trailer also touches an emotional tone in the second half but soon bring backs the comedic element. The editing could have been much better as tone changes in the video don’t look that fluidic.

Other than this everything sits correctly, and you are left anticipating the release of comedic family drama. The movie is based on the Gujarati play by the same name from Soumya Joshi. The pairing is too perfect, and it looks like both the actors are also enjoying the roles they are bringing to life. So, mark the date and get ready to have a healthy laugh with your fathers and family on 4th May.
