Todd Phillips, the director of the Hangover Trilogy, is now directing The Joker solo movie, which is going to be an origin story. About a week back, Todd Phillips released The Joker First Look on his Instagram which got quite a mix views from the audience. Some say it looks great but others say it is not. Following is the Instagram post by Todd Phillips.

Apart from this first look at the joker reveal, a subway station set video has also been leaked where Joker is seen creating chaos in the subway station. Also, a map of Gotham from the movie is also leaked. The map doesn’t seem to reveal anything unless you see it closely. This map holds easter eggs and many references which are hidden to the larger Batman mythos.

The second image in the post gives you a better look at the street names and the districts of Gotham city. For example, there is a Snyder district in the photo. It could either refer to Scott Snyder, the writer of Batman or a nod to Zack Snyder, who set Batman(Dark Knight) against Superman(Man of Steel) in the Batman v Superman: Daen of Justice.
The other names that are worth noting include Wayne Avenue (can be referring to Batman’s alter ego, Bruce Wayne and the Wayne Family of Gotham). Another is Jack Street (for Jack Napier in Batman, the original name of The Joker). Another which is worth noting is the Kane County (named after the Kane Family, for which Martha, Bruce’s mother, was a member of before marrying Thomas Wayne). These are just a few out of many which are mentioned in the map and looks like the important ones.
It is not known who revealed the map and how the pictures were taken, but this map can play an essential role in the WB films. Fans are excited to see the Todd Phillips’ version of the Joker and how great can Phoenix be in his job. But for now, fans have to collect these bits to hold over until an official teaser or trailer drops.
The movie is co-written and directed by Todd Phillips, starring Joaquin Phoenix as the titular character, The Joker, along with Robert De Niro, Marc Maron, Zazie Beetz, Frances Conroy, Brett Cullen, and Bill Camp. It is scheduled to drop on October 4, 2019.
