Android P Name Accidentally Revealed by Huawei-Customer Chat
Guessing the name of Android versions is quite a tradition across the globe. This is no different for the Android P which is already available to download for beta users, however, its name still remains a mystery. The name will be officially announced by the google next month but today the name of the Android P was accidentally revealed by Huawei.
The name of the Andriod P was revealed by an employee of Huawei in a live chat conservation with a customer. The customer asked when will the Huawei P9 Lite Mini (Y6 Pro) and Huawei P9 Lite (2017) be getting the EMUI 8.0 (Android 8.0 Oreo) update. In one of the responses, the Huawei employee then mentions Android Pistachio just as one would normally say Android Oreo.
Below are the Screenshots of the conservation between the customer and the Huawei representative in which the Android Pistachio is clearly mentioned.
To recall, earlier this year in Feb, Bloomberg revealed Android P would be named Android Pistachio Ice Cream which puts more weight on it. Pistachio is a nut, so it disturbs the naming convention of the Android family, but the Android Pistachio Ice Cream is a dessert which falls in line with the naming convention of the operating system.
However, how far this comes out to be real will be a thing to watch. So what do you feel? Does Android Pistachio Ice Cream sound Good? or you’d like something else? Do let us know in the comment section below.
