Warner Bros., The Conjuring series is hailed as the most horrifying flicks in the modern times that can give you goosebumps in broad daylight. This series gave birth to another character which soon became a franchise in itself. We are talking about the cute little doll Annabelle who can make you go crazy with her sweet smile. She made her first appearance in Conjuring, and after seeing the massive scope of the character, Warner Bros gave to go to develop it into a movie. The Annabelle came out in 2016 and was a surprise hit making $84 million on a budget of $6.5 million. Soon we got Annabelle Creation which raked in an even more significant amount of $105 million at the meager budget of $15 million. So from this, it is evident that Warner Bros want to explore it more and doesn’t want to give the golden eggs laying hen.
Warner Bros has confirmed a sequel to the series with Annabelle 3 as another addition. As per reports by THR, Gary Dauberman the writer of first two movies will retain his role as writer and will also take on the position of director to make his debut in the filmmaking. The plot details of Annabelle 3 are being kept secret, but the story will focus on the doll who is possessed by a demonic force. We didn’t expect something extraordinarily groundbreaking from the movie. The main point of these movies is to notice how they portray the story.
The writer Gary Dauberman has known for his work on widely favorite horror movies apart from Conjuring and Annabelle series. He co-wrote the smash hit IT and is also working on the upcoming IT: Chapter Two. His latest work The Nun, another piece of Conjuring cinematic universe will hit the theatres on September 7th. It will be interesting to see how well he directs the movie. Is he able to give the audiences feel of real horror with direction as he does with his stories? All these questions will be answered on July 3, 2019, when the movie will be released worldwide.
