We are just six days away to witness the history in making as Avengers Infinity War hits the theater coming Friday. The fans around the globe have waited for this moment for almost ten years, and now there is no stopping the excitement for the epic event. Currently, as the whole world has the undivided focus on the Avengers Infinity War, the Marvel’s next release, Antman and The Wasp are somewhat shadowed. The trailer for the same came around the same time when we got the first glimpse of Infinity War. It’s not that fans have completely forgotten about the superhero Antman it’s just that they are questioning where is Antman concerning Avengers Infinity War. With his absence from all the press tours and promotional stuff around the movie, people are asking ‘will he be there in this one or something fishy is going under the wraps?’ We think that this question will only be answered on April 27.

Antman and The Wasp directed by Peyton Reed, the Marvel’s next big release after Avengers Infinity War will take the story ahead of its sequel. The Antman introduced us to the character of Scott Lang portrayed by Paul Rudd and Hope Van Dyne Played by Evangeline Lilly who alongside Hank Pym fought against Yellow Jacket. From the story perspective, the Antman and The Wasp will focus on the search for Hope Van Dyne’s mother Janet, who was lost in the Quantum Realm decades ago. So while discussing regarding the movie, Lily added that “Scott entered the Quantum Realm in the first film and came back, which is something they thought was impossible. The question has arisen, ‘Can Janet come back?’ So the entire film, my character is hell-bent on finding a way to get into the Quantum Realm and bring her back.”

The new images released by EW shows both main characters in shock and slightly beaten by the condition in their high tech suits. The reason behind this condition could be the movie’s main antagonist Ghost. In comics, Ghost is a male character who possess the power to ‘phase’ allowing him to move through solid matter. However, Peyton Reed has made few changes in the movie as Ghost will be a female character and will be played by Hannah John Kamen, who was last seen in Ready Player One. Reed during his discussion with EW explained about his decision “The Ghost character could be male, female, anything, so it just seemed more interesting to us [to cast a woman. Ghost’s primary power is the ability to ‘phase,’ which allows Ghost to move through solid matter. She has all sorts of strange versions of that phasing power — it proves quite difficult for Ant-Man and Wasp to deal with.”

The premise of the movie is perfect, but with all the focus on Avengers Infinity War, we worry that Antman and The Wasp may get hit by the significant stature of its predecessor. As after watching Infinity War audience will be expecting much more robust as soon the comparison will trigger. We know it’s not justified to compare the two, but you’re bound to do that unknowingly. No matter what we are excited about this one and want to see how the Avengers Infinity War impacts Marvel Universe.
