Apex Legends players are criticizing EA and Respawn for how misleading their claim about heirloom sets’ drop rates in Apex Pack is.
Apex Packs are a way to unlock various cosmetic items without purchasing them directly. To open Apex Packs, you can use Apex Legends Coins which you can buy from the store or by ranking up. According to EA and Respawn, the drop rates are transparent but according to an Apex Legends player that’s not the case. He took it to game’s subreddit but got little-to-no help from EA.
Reason for Apex Legends players being upset
The heirloom sets are above Legendary items which are extremely rare to get. But according to Respawn, there is a <1% chance to get the heirloom set in an Apex Pack. Also, there is bad luck protection according to which players are unable to open more than 500 crates without receiving the heirloom set.
But this is not the case as an Apex Legends player took to the game’s subreddit to claim that they “opened over 500 Apex Packs for the heirloom, but [didn’t receive] a Wraith blade.”
/u/OGYungEgypt tried to contact EA for the issue about him opening more than 500 packs and spending $300 on Apex Legends Coins and still not getting any heirloom set even after bad luck protection.
In a recent comment, /u/OGYungEgypt states that he is not able to contact EA anymore regarding the issue.
He also stated that he is happy to spend money on the game and likes the game but feels unsatisfied due to the situation.
Many others also voiced their support on the subreddit. Check it out below:
While /u/OGYungEgypt’s claims seem to be legit. But there is no way he can prove that he absolutely opened 500 Apex Packs. Respawn and EA are yet to respond to their bad luck protection not working. Stay tuned for any new information regarding the issue.
