Apple buys music company “Shazam” for $400 million dollar

Apple has given confirmations to journalists from several publications on the purchase of Shazam, a London based app which can identify the music on the base of small sample played. Shazam has made a similar statement confirming the purchase himself

According to the reports, they have signed a deal of 400 million dollars, Apple has issued an official statement Shazam as “natural fit” with its services.

There is speculation the app might not be available for users, once the deal closes and the Apple will be embedding or utilising its features in its own platform of apps.

Both the companies have confirmed this deal and expressed their joy but no official price has been published

This deal is Apple’s biggest acquisition in music since 2014, two years back Apple bought Beat Electronics for $3 billion, company for headphones and music service.
