Apple today at an event in New York launched the New MacBook air, the new mac mini and the new ipad pro is also launched. The cornerstone for the new iPad Pro is the new Face ID, USB type-C port and the smaller bezels. Let’s have a look at the specifications and price of the iPad Pro.
Design and Display
Apple’s new iPad Pro 2018 comes in two screen sizes – a new 11-inch variant and a 12.9-inch variant. The former is upgraded from the 10.5 inch while the 12.9-inch size is same as on the previous generation.
Following the design of the iPhones, the company has tried to reduce the size of the bezels, so that the screen size could be increased. The new iPad Pro comes with the same Retina display, with the ProMotion technology which adds support for up to 120HZ refresh rate and the True Tone support is also present.
Specs & Features
The new iPad Pro models are housed by the latest A12X Bionic processor that is based on the TSMC’s 7nm architecture which features four performance cores and four efficiency cores. The new iPad Pro comes with Apple’s next-gen Neural Engine and 7-core GPU for better gaming performance.
Apple has ditched the home button (and Touch ID) on the new iPad Pro and included its TrueDepth camera system, with the IR camera, dot projector and flood illuminator housed on the top bezel to provide the Face ID to the new iPad Pro variants.
In the photography department, the iPad Pro sports a single 12MP camera on the rear panel and a 7MP selfie camera on the front.
Apple with the new iPad pro has switched to USB-C over Apple’s own long-standing lightning port and stated the USB-C is becoming a universal standard and you can now use it to connect devices, monitors, and even charge your iPhone on the go.
As far as connectivity concerned new iPad pro includes Gigabit-class LTE, eSIM technology, and Bluetooth 5.0. The new iPad pro can provide up to 10-hours of battery life but the capacity of the battery is not known.
