Asus has launched two new laptops in India – the Asus VivoBook S15 and S14, to recall the laptops were showcased at the Computex, back in June this year. The S15 starts at a price of Rs.69,990 while the S14 is priced at Rs.54,990. The laptop will be available form the November 1 via Flipkart. Let’s have a look at the features and specifications of the laptops.
VivoBook S15 (S530) and S14 (S430) Specs :
The VivoBook S15 and S14 are touted to be the first in the VivoBook Series to feature the new three-sided NanoEdge design with super-thin bezels along the top and the sides.
The S15 model comes with either FHD (1980 x 1080) panel or an HD (1366 x 768) panel, on the other hand, the S14 lineup comes with only FHD (1980 x 1080) display. To unlock the device a Windows Hello-certified optical fingerprint scanner is also provided that is housed inside the touchpad.
The S15 and S14 are housed by up to an 8th-generation Intel Core-i7 8550U processor, you can also choose between the Core-i5 8250U and the Core-i3 8130U chipsets. The graphics of the devices are handled by the Nvidia GeForce MX150 and MX130 GPUs for the high-end models, while the base variants are powered by the integrated Intel HD graphics.
In terms of hardware, they include up to 16GB DDR4 2400 RAM and 500GB / 1TB / 2TB HDD with 128GB / 256GB / 512GB SSD in dual-storage configs.
As far as the Connectivity is concerned they include dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2, 1x USB Type-C (v3.1), 1x USB Type-A (v3.1), 2x USB 2.0, 1x HDMI, 1x Audio combo jack and 1x microSD card reader.
The new VivoBook laptops leave the factory with Windows 10 Home or Windows 10 Pro operating systems. The laptops are fueled by a 3-cell, 42Wh lithium-prismatic battery.
