Asus Zenfone 5Z launch is expected today at a starting price of Rs 29999. It will replace the flagship status of the Zenfone 5. The phone has a notched screen with a Snapdragon 845 at its core.
Asus first unveiled the Zenfone 5Z back in February at MWC 2018. After almost 4 months, the phone is ready to hit the shelves in India. It aspires to bring flagship level hardware at a low price.
Asus Zenfone 5Z features
A listing on Flipkart yesterday pointed to the prices and specs. The Asus Zenfone 5Z features a Snapdragon 845, the fastest mobile chipset in the world. Along with it, the phone also includes a minimum of 6GB RAM. The screen is a notched 19:9 aspect ratio Full HD+ display. It seems like the notch has become a norm for flagships.
In the camera department, the Zenfone 5Z fares well too. It has a dual rear shooter (12 MP basic + 8MP wide angle). The front camera is an 8MP sharp-shooter with Face Unlock. The most important feature of the cameras is the inclusion of AI processing to enhance camera settings.
The Asus Zenfone 5Z features a 3300 mAh battery with BoostMaster technology to make it charge really fast. Asus also used AI here to increase the longevity of the battery. The phone also includes a DTS Headphone:X DAC that ensures a great sound output from your headphones.
The Asus Zenfone 5Z launch proves that flagships don’t need to be expensive. The phone will give some serious competition to OnePlus 6, especially with the inclusion of AI. The only thing it lacks is an OLED display, which it makes up with the difference in price. The Asus Zenfone 5 is available for Rs 29990 for the 64GB+6GB version, Rs 32999 for the 128GB+8GB version and Rs 36999 for the 256GB+8GB version. We highly recommend it.
