Under the hood it packs Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC with octa-core CPU and Adreno 509 GPU. Besides the dual rear cameras, a 16-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calling with soft light LED flash support is also present compared to just 8-megapixel selfie shooter on the previous variants. On the software front, the Zenfone Max Pro M1 runs Stock Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box. With 4G LTE and VoLTE support, other connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Face Unlock feature. A fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication is also present.
