Marvel knows what fans want from each of their movies, and that is why over the span of 10 years they have delivered 18 films which have found the special place in the heart of fans. Similarly, Avengers Infinity War will try to trump all these 18 movies and carve out space which no other film can acquire in the foreseeable future. The Russo Brothers have confirmed the same by adding that Avengers Infinity War will be unlike any other Marvel movie as it will be a story told from the villain’s perspective. Mad Titan Thanos will be the star of the show as he collects infinity stones to create a better world by vanishing the existing one.
In their recent interview with Telegraph India, Joe Russo said “We always try to bring in topical themes into these films because they function on such a wide scale that we want the audience to feel a sense of immediacy in their own lives about what they’re watching. Every villain is a hero in his own story and believes that what they’re doing is right. They’re just in conflict with the rest of the world. Thanos happens to believe that what he is doing is right, and he behaves nobly towards that goal. But he will not stop until he achieves the goal because he believes that there is the weakness that stands between him and the completion of the goal.”
Being the first Marvel movie told from the villain’s perspective, the Russo Brothers took the challenge head-on and enjoyed it. “We thought it was fascinating to tell a story from a villain,” Joe said. “So when you watch the film, you’ll see that the film is told from Thanos’ perspective. That offers a unique insight into our heroes, but it also provides a unique insight into villains and how they think.”
“It was a very organic choice in this film because we’re dealing with several different groups of characters, some of which do not know of the existence of the other,” Anthony said. “Thanos is the one thing that unifies them all in this movie. So, orientating our story and telling it from his point of view had a lot of practicality to it as well.”
Judging by the trailers and the positive buzz around Avengers Infinity War the April 27 will be a huge date for the Hollywood. The fans are pumped up, and with each breath, their excitement is increasing. And the best thing about this is that Marvel is also acknowledging the love fans have showered over them in the past ten years. Regarding that, a small montage video was released by Marvel thanking all the fans out there waiting for April 27.
