Blackmail is an Indian Hindi black dramedy under the banner of T-Series. Directed by DELHI BELLY famed Abhinay Deo, starring Irfan khan (dev) the blackmailer, Divya Dutta, kirti Kulhari, Arunoday Singh and Omi Vaidya. The film depicts life of a middle-aged married-man stuck in a full day-time job and unexciting life but things turn after he finds that his wife is having an extramarital affair.
Trailer exhibits a duped-in-love Irrfan plot a revenge on his wife and the man he found her in bed with. He wonders if he should kill the lover or the wife and risk going to jail or simply, make some profit out of the situation. He decides to blackmail the lover, asking for Rs 1 lakh but little did he know that her lover is a bigger broke than him. The cheaters try to gather money by any means possible, even if it means asking the cheated husband for some. In Blackmail, Irrfan has once again taken up the role of a common man, Dev. In the two and a half minutes long trailer, Irrfan aka Dev narrates the story of his wife cheating on him. While the friend, who is listening to Irrfan, wonders if the husband will kill the lover or wife, Irrfan comes up with the third option. Unlike any other partners, Irrfan doesn’t go into depression or get violent on knowing the truth. Instead, he is the one who decides to take revenge on his wife’s boyfriend.
In a big comedy of confusions, everyone ends up blackmailing everyone as more characters join in to rake in some quick cash. The trailer ends with some casualties and just as things begin to turn serious.
