Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice when released in March 2016 it registered a record of being shown in 4,242 theater in its first week of opening. About 4,310 theaters will display Captain Marvel in its Opening week, breaking the record set by Batman v Superman.
#CaptainMarvel sets a new domestic #boxoffice record by opening in 4,310 theaters this weekend – the most ever for any film in the month of March. The previous record was 4,242 by #BatmanvSuperman three years ago on Easter weekend.

This little achievement by Captain Marvel will not only give more exposure to the film, but it will also set a war of flame between two studios. Batman v Superman had a massive opening week but generated some bad mouth of words after that. The effect of this is drops-offs in business, including massive declines in consecutive weeks.
