‘Alita: Battle Angel’ will it justify its Manga source?

20th Century Fox released the trailer for another action movie Alita: Battle Angel. The film is based on the manga series Battle Angel Alita by Yukito Kishiro, published in the year 1990. The story takes place in the post-apocalyptic future and focuses on Alita, a cyborg who has lost all her memories. Then she is found by the cybernetics doctor in a heap of garbage, who brings her back to life. Then her journey starts, as she becomes a bounty hunter and tries to retrace her footsteps to past.

The trailer looks intriguing, and there is sense mystery in it. You will be downright eager to know more about the story as soon as the trailer ends. However, the main character that is Alita is entirely CGI, and she doesn’t look good. She sometimes looks like a Disney’s princess. I hope they will work on the CGI and improve it as there is around six months time in the release of the film.

The movie has been under the production for a long time as earlier James Cameroon was working on the film. However, he left it and chose to work on the Avatar. Then Robert Rodriguez of SinCity and Machete fame took the direction in his hands and James Cameroon still being the producer of the movie. The film undoubtedly looks exciting and hope it delivers.
