Game of Thrones Season 8 Teaser

During their walk through the tunnel, Jon passes the statue of his mother Lyanna Stark, and father, Ned Stark whereas Sansa passes by the statue of her mother Catelyn Stark.

While passing by the statue of Lyanna Stark, if you notice closely, Jon march causes a feather to fall to the floor which was placed in the statue’s palm. Afterwards, the feather freezes as ice mist approach towards the trio.

But where did that feather actually came from? Well, for that you have to go down memory lane and recall episode 1, where Robert Baratheon places a feather on Lyanna’s hand while talking with Ned Stark.

Feather again made its appearance in Season 5 of Game of Thrones, when Sansa was in Winterfell to marry Ramsay Bolton. While lighting the candle on the Lyanna Stark statue’s palm, she notices a feather on the ground, she picks up the feather and dust it off and keeps it in her hand while listening to Littlefinger telling her the story of the tourney at Harrenhal.

It has not been showcased if Sansa has placed the feather back on the statue’s hand, but this feather is more than a symbol to showcase Robert’s love for Lyanna.
