Here’s a concept art of the spaceship and more details regarding the series’s connection with Game of Thrones
Game of Thrones is going to end in the coming year & we will have nothing to watch that will create so much excitement along with pissing us off each season with each death of our favorite character. These thoughts must have crossed through George R.R. Martin’s fans but no need to worry because we are up for another series from the creator of Game of Thrones.
SyFy channel has confirmed that they will be adopting George R.R. Martin’s another creation that is ‘Nightflyers’ and 10 episode first season will come out sometime next year. Nightflyers is a sci-fi drama & the story revolves around the group of researchers who charter a mysterious spaceship to transport them to the alien spacecraft crossing through the galaxy.
The SyFy officials saw the pilot for the series in July 2017, and soon they gave the thumbs up for the whole season. The novella on which the series is based came out in the year 1981 and was nominated for the Hugo Award 1981.
George R.R. Martin earlier said it is challenging to have series based on this novella “since at the end of the novella (and the film) pretty much everyone is dead (it was a horror story, after all).” He further added that he was impressed with the script and “came away with a better idea of where they’d find a few seasons” for the show. SyFy also released the concept art of the spaceship which surely looks impressive.
Few of the actors from Game of Thrones will be working in this series as most of the shooting is being done in the Republic of Ireland and they live close it. It will be fun to watch a sci-fi series based on the novella written by Martin, the guy who gave us the best fantasy drama series in the whole era.
