George Clooney will make a comeback on small screen nearly after two decades!!
The world of television is expanding ever to quickly with the advent of streaming services like Netflix, Amazon Prime Videos, and Hulu. We all know that Netflix is currently leading the race. However, Disney owned (after Fox acquisition it holds 60% stake) Hulu is not far behind and is producing some exceptional content. It currently airs a two time Golden Globe winner The Handmaid’s Tale, Rick and Morty, Marvel Runaways and Fargo. Now, its gearing up to give Netflix and Prime videos a run for their money by getting stars like George Clooney to direct and star in a series.
George Clooney will be making a comeback to regular series role almost after two decades of NBC’s ER. The series will be based on ‘Catch-22’ a satirical novel by American author Joseph Heller. Clooney himself will produce and direct the series which is set during the World-War-II, from 1942 to 1944.
The series will follow the life of Captain John Yossarian, a U.S. Army Air Forces B-25 bombardier. It will explore the experiences of Yossarian and other airmen, who attempt to maintain their insanity while fulfilling their duties. It will be a mini-series, and Clooney himself will portray the character of Yossarian.
However, there is a slight reason for worry as the last two directorial of Clooney which is Suburbicon and The Monuments Man both wholly tanked on the box-office. We have hope that he will make a substantial comeback both as an actor and director with Catch-22 and will be able to catch the attention of the whole world.
