Google has announced last week at it’s I/O developer conference that Google News will receive the revamped design powered by Artificial Intelligence. The new AI-powered Google News App is available for download both at Apple App Store and Android Play Store. This new app is a replacement for the old Google Newsstand app.
The new app delivers your favourite news powered by machine learning training algorithm to simplify the complex world and national news in the best possible way to provide you with the best news reading experience.
The app can be differentiated into four respective sections which include For you, Headlines, Favourites and Newsstand. The app has a cleaner and crisper look with its new update. In the For you, section, it will create a personalized list of top 5 stories followed by the algorithm chosen news based on your interests and favourites. In the headline section of the app, one can find the latest news, world news, business, entertainment and sports news in respective tabs. In the favourite section of the tab, you can search your favourite topic from the search bar and can subscribe to it. Then on the basis of it, Google will showcase the algorithm selected news in the For You section. In the last newsstand section, you can subscribe to the news organization monthly or yearly subscription from your field of interest, some of them are free, while for others you have to make the payment, in order to read their monthly or weekly issues.
What we liked most about the new Google News app, it showcases news based on your interest so well in the For You section, that you might not require downloading any other app for gathering it’s the latest news. In addition, its sleek design and enriched look, add more to the reading experience of the user. All the news organization which are delivering news in the new Newsstand app supports AMP standard, which means pages and news will load faster.
