Hotstar Criminal Justice Review : Vikrant Massey & Pankaj Tripathi steals the show with their performances

Criminal-Justice Review

Hotstar has come out with a bang with their new web series Criminal Justice. The series is a remake of the 2008-09 BBC series of the same name. The series has been produced under the banner of Applause Entertainment, who has partnered with Hotstar for a spate of Originals. The cast of the show includes some very big names from the OTT industry. Vikrant Massey as Aditya is the lead of the show, who goes to jail for the rape and murder of a girl named Sanaya as all pieces of evidence point to him as the prime suspect in the case. But is he guilty or not, it is a matter of question.

Once again we see Pankaj Tripathi (Madhav Mishra) doing complete justice with his role of supporting lawyer for Aditya’s case. His subtle remarks and fine craft make him a true entertainer whenever he enters the scene. His balance and timing of humor within the excerpts of his dialogues is pleasant to watch.

The show has been directed well, and in terms of acting, all cast members live up to their defined role.

Criminal Justice

Anupriya Goenka as Nikhat is splendid in her role, and she takes up the part of Aditya’s lawyer when things were going against him. Both Madhav and Nikhat try to unravel the mystery of this case in a series of 10 episodes.

The show also shows us how badly a noble family can get affected if a family member gets caught up in some nasty crime.

During the time of Aditya’s hearings for the case, he spent his time in jail under judicial custody. Initially, he found it difficult to adjust to jail life being savage. But things get better for him when he comes under the wing of Mustafa (Jackie Shroff). Jackie role as Mustafa will give you his young day’s vibe as he plays the boss of jail inmates, although he faces confrontation from another baddie and his henchmen.

Hotstar Criminal Justice Verdict

Overall the series is balanced and is a must watch, and if you enjoy Pankaj Tripathi performances, then you will surely enjoy his witty humour throughout the series.
