How to setup Comcast cable box: Step-by-Step

 

STEP 1 –

First of all, you need to connect the coaxial cable into the RF In port on the 2-way splitter. Screw carefully the one end of the free coaxial cable into RF Out ports of one of the two-way splitter. And lastly screw the other loose end of the cable into the RF in Cable In port, which can be found on the back of the Comcast cable box.

STEP 2 –

You have to use an S-video cable to connect the S-Video Out port on the back the Comcast cable box to the S-Video In port on the TV set.

If your TV is not having the S-Video port setup, then you need not worry about it. A composite video cable can be used, which is a yellow audio-visual cable or the AV cable to connect the yellow AV Out jack on the back of the Comcast cable box to the yellow AV In jack on the TV set.

STEP 3 –

After setting up the above arrangement, you need to plug one end of each of the RCA audio cords  (which are the red and white AV cables) into the red and white AV Out jack, which can be found on the back of the Comcast cable box. Simply, plug the other end of each cable into the red and white AV In jacks on your TV.

 

STEP 4 –

If you’ve done the above setup, now you have to connect the Comcast box to the power supply, to this simply connect the power cord to the power port on the back of the Comcast cable box. And lastly, plug the power cord into the power source board.

 

STEP 5 –

Switch ON the power supply for both Comcast cable box and the TV set and switch the TV channel to number 3.

 

STEP 6 –

After this, you need to use the Input button on TV remote to change its video input channel to coincide with the input port used to receive the Comcast TV signal
