Chinese tech giant, Huawei recently unveiled the all-new smartphone in the Mate flagship series, it’s the all new Huawei Mate 20 Pro, which comes with the powerful triple rear camera setup, 40W fast charging and with the all-new Kirin 980 processor which is the world’s first 7nm based processor and comes with better performance as compared to the Snapdragon 845. And also, the device features a great 6.39 inch display with 1440 x 3120 pixels of resolution. And recently, some users are complaining about the Huawei Mate 20 Pro display bleeding problem, where a strange differentiable green line appears on either side of the display.
According to the reports, some users mentioned an issue in the Huawei community forum in the UK, which describes the Huawei Mate 20 Pro display bleeding problem, where some handsets have a light bleeding issue, and the light bleeds from the edge of the display when watching the content with a dark background, as you can see in the image below, the bleeding of the display causes a green tint at the left edge of the display.
Responding to the problem, a user on the XDA Developer forum describes the possible issue, where he mentioned that the glue used for the display may be causing the Huawei Mate 20 Pro display bleeding problem. A Reddit user responded to the issue and mentioned that the OLED display in the device by LG is causing the bleeding problem in Huawei Mate 20 Pro. But later we came to know that this is not the problem, as a Huawei UK Community Forum Manager responded to the Reddit comment, as said, “ The Mate 20 Pro uses an industry-leading flexible OLED screen featuring special design curved edges for an enhanced visual experience and holding comfort. This may lead to slight discolouration when viewed from different angles. In extremely dim lighting conditions, when the screen brightness is too low, or when using dark wallpapers, these differences can be exaggerated. If the colour cast affects your normal use, take your phone to an authorised Customer service Centre for assistance.”
The above-mentioned response is not official, but according to a Finland based website, the company is replacing the faulty devices free-of-charge for the Finnish users. Also, users in the UK mentioned in the Huawei community forum that the Huawei support branch will replace the faulty Huawei Mate 20 Pro for free of cost.
