James Franco to portray ‘Shel’, after success of The Disaster Artist
James Franco is riding high on the success of The Disaster Artist. The movie has received positive reviews from both the audiences & critics.
James Franco has been able to portray a story around the worst movie ever in such a way, where you don’t see making him the fun of the artist or that film. But he has brought out the positives in that journey of Tommy Wiseau’s (The Room actor & director) of making a movie & how he fulfilled his dream no matter what people were saying. In this James Franco has been able to deliver on both directorial & acting front exceptionally.
Now as per the latest updates, he is roped in to direct and star in the biopic on children’s book author Shel Silverstein. Based on the Lisa Ragok’s book ‘A Boy named Shel’ the movie will revolve around the life of Shel and his struggles in creating books like Giving Tree and collection of poems Where the Sidewalk Ends.
The release date of the movie is not confirmed till now, but work has already started on it. Currently, Chris Shafer and Paul Vicknair are working on the script of the film. James Franco will join the film after finishing his work on Marvel movie ‘Multiple Man’ along with the Coen brothers’ miniseries The Ballad of Buster Scruggs. Now as per his busy schedule, it looks like the movie will either release in the year 2019 or 2020. This surely will be a hot movie in coming years and will be astounding to watch Franco’s take on it.
