In Group A:

  • Afreeca Freecs and G2 Esports are qualifying teams.

After losing their opening games, Afreeca Freecs managed to get into the quarterfinals after a winning streak.

G2 Esports emerged as a surprise package in the group matches. They managed to defeat Afreeca Freecs in the opening match but dropped the game against last-placed PVB team. They will face Flash Wolves in a tiebreaker for getting an entry in quarterfinals.

In Group B:

  • Royal Never Give up and Cloud 9 are qualifying teams.

Gen.G the defending champions gave us surprise as they were worst performing team in the group matches. They only managed to win one match. On the other hand, Royal Never Give up topped the group. Vitality’s luck was running out as after defeating Gen.G they failed to make out of the group matches but Cloud 9 manage to had an insane run.

In Group C:

  • KT Rolster and Edward Gaming are qualifying teams.

Many fans were hoping for the Team Liquid to make out of the group matches. Despite having three wins, they weren’t able to make out. KT Rolster had an amazing run of wins in the group matches apart from there one game drop.

Edward Gaming had some up and downs in the League Of Legends World Championship 2018 group matches. They were able to defeat the KT Roster but get defeated by Team Liquid.

In Group D:

  • Fnatic and Invictus Gaming are qualifying teams.

Both the teams won 5-1 matches in the group with only one match drop against each other. In the tiebreaker, Fnatic defeated Invictus to secure the top spot, but both teams passed for the knockout or quarterfinals.
