Lust Stories ensembles A-List of the cast which counts Radhika Apte, Manisha Koirala, Neha Dhupia, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar, Kaira Advani, Sanjay Kapoor, Neil Bhoopalan, Akash Thosar and Jaideep Ahlawat in the lead roles.
What Do Lust Stories showcase?
We’ve been witnessing the male dominance on the screen in this regard or when it comes to lust, love and relationship indecency but now the aforesaid four celebrated international directors have joined hands with Netflix for being a censor free platform for letting us witness the indecency from the versatile female lead. Lust stories give way to the blunt reality of the modern-day relationship and love. They talk about the misunderstood meaning of a most commonly used phrase of love- ‘If you love someone set them free’ and let us witness what precisely freedom means to the modern people in a relationship.
Lust Stories is about discovering love and everything in between that includes sex, desire, attachment, love, friendship, betrayal, life, courage, couple, jealousy and romance, from the mindset of not the characters but real human beings. Lot many cliched beliefs proved to be right many wrong like getting physically attached to someone has nothing to do with love but there are chances to get emotional after that which may make you possessive for the other one and it can happen with anyone as there is no hard n fast rule that only guys will get emotional or vice-versa. It also clarifies the clear picture of age gaps and open relationships. So this proves one belief wrong that guys get emotional after having sex.
Next, a significant and lifelong belief that having an extramarital affair is not good but logic and justifications are unacceptable in real life on behalf of a woman who is frustrated enough from her husband for his deeds like lack of vulnerability and ignorance towards his wife and still, she has to keep everything together for no reason. Then how one gets attracted towards a friend who is all there to handle and understand you. The director portrayed it very smoothly and made the things look real. It is all about proper attention, personal space and not the allowance but their right to live life in the way your partner wants.
Then the last story follows a journey of a newly married lady dealing with her husband who makes it night after night but fails to get the basics of sex and orgasm. This story helped us know the importance of being bold, blunt and most crucially being you no matter what the society, people and the world say. Being you here refers to unapologetically being you keeping aside all the taboos and cliched orthodox mentality of society and understanding the basic things in life for your betterment and your own life like the significance of communication while being intimate, clarifying the things before an arrange marriage, marriage is not about being intimate having a child and then done. Accepting the real you being bold is what this last short taught us.
Final Verdict for Lust Stories.
An astounding compendium of love fables each giving a blunt message to understand these complicated, suffocating and unshared things like love, relations and right of living your life the way you want. Lust stories give an honest vision of women about sex and their desires, emotions, freedom and decisions were perfectly wrapped. Actors stupendously performed and wore each and every flavour of the film giving precisely what it asked for.
