Chinese smartphone maker, Meizu has launched a new smartphone in its home town with an all-new “Zero Hole” concept. The new Meizu Zero comes with a unique unibody design, where no speaker grill, charging port, buttons are present on the device body, which makes it second smartphone to follow the same concept, as Vivo also introduced the Vivo Apex recently, which will be launched without any charging ports, buttons, and any other cavity in the device body.
Meizu Zero Design & Display –
The all-new Meizu Zero comes with an intriguing design. The material finish given at the back of the device is modish, and the device looks simply amazing in its black and white color variants.
Talking more about the design of the Meizu Zero, at the front there is no display notch given, and rather than featuring a complex camera pop-up mechanism, the device includes the front camera, speaker grill, and other sensors in the narrows bezel at the top. Overall, the device comes with bezels, but the design doesn’t look outdated at all. At the back, the dual rear camera stack can be seen placed vertically, and there is no fingerprint, which clearly shows that the Meizu Zero will feature an in-display fingerprint sensor.
The Meizu Zero features a Super AMOLED display which is 5.99-inch in size and supports the Full HD resolution (1080×2160 pixels) and it is protected by the 2.5D curved glass protection.
Meizu Zero specifications –
The design of the device has been revealed completely but still, under-the-hood specs of the device are not known completely. We come to know that the device will be running on the Flyme 7 UI based on Android, but the Android version is not known. The device will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 coupled with Adreno 630 GPU.
Moreover, the device comes with a unibody design with no holes, like ports, volume button, speaker grill, and sim slot. To attain this special design, the device relies on eSIM and pressure sensitive volume and power button using its mEngine 2.0 tech. And as there is no 3.5 mm audio port and charging port, Meizu Zero supports Bluetooth audio device and wireless charging only. As there is no speaker grill, Meizu Zero features mSound 2.0 tech, that claims to use the phone’s screen as a speaker and earpiece to produce sound output. Also, the fully packed design of the device allows dust and water-resistant capabilities, which comes with IP68 ratings.
Meizu Zero Camera Specs –
The all-new Meizu Zero features a dual rear camera setup, which comes with a primary sensor of 20-megapixel and a 12-megapixel secondary sensor. For selfies, the device features a 20-megapixel sensor which comes with the AI capabilities for great photos and other AI features like face unlock.
Meizu Zero Price & Availability –
The company has not revealed the price of the device yet, and the company stated that it still has to get regulatory approvals for the eSIM, after which the smartphone will be launched in the Chinese market. For now, the launch of the device in other markets is still unknown.
