Lenovo owned Motorola is in news once again, and this time it’s not because of any stock Android-based device. All of this started when a report by the Wall Street Journal suggested that the smartphone company is working to revive its Moto Razr brand and will launch an iconic foldable smartphone soon. And today, it seems that Motorola is working on an iconic hinged dual display device, that we came to know from the design registration appeared on the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO).
Motorola is surely working to launch a very iconic design with its Motorola Razr device. As you can see in the image above, the design granted by WIPO shows a chin, which looks same as the previous Moto Razr device, so, Razr will retain the chin as the brand icon.
Other than this, it can be seen that there will two displays in the device, one will be the primary display which will be a foldable device. The other display will sit on the outer side of the device, which will be used when the device is folded, and user can check out the notification and other info on that secondary display without unfolding the device.
A small notch can be seen on the display too, which carries earpiece speaker only, the front camera is not situated there, but we can see two cameras in the image, which means user need to preview the selfie in the secondary camera only.
The design registered on WIPO is just a patent, it is not necessary that the final product will look like exact same, but we can expect an iconic design from Moto, which would be priced around $1,500, well, that’s really high, but we have to see, what Motorola is going to offer with its upcoming Moto Razr.
