Netflix India Original film Music Teacher is releasing in April

Indian OTT platforms are slowly increasing their hold on millennials and young audiences. All the streaming giants are trying to produce the best craft to win over the audience’s heart. Both Amazon Prime Video and Netflix are pushing up the quality bar with good shows like Mirzapur (Amazon Prime Video), Made in Heaven (Amazon Prime Video) and Sacred Games (Netflix).

People are already desperately waiting for Season 2 of the Sacred Games and Mirzapur, as both of these were a huge hit among the audience.

The Netflix streaming calendar for April 2019 has revealed the release date for their upcoming Original movie ‘Music Teacher.’ The movie will release on April 19, 2019. The story of the film covers the life of a music teacher who is dispirited and trying to meet his ends by teaching music. He feels delusional when he comes to know his ex-pupil whom he had an affair with, is in town after eight years to perform at a music concert.

The cast of the web series includes Manav Kaul, Divya Dutta, Neena Gupta, and Niharika Lyra Dutt. The movie has been directed by Sarthak Dasgupta. & it has been produced by Saregama owned Yoodlee Films.

Saregama has also released the official synopsis of the movie which has been shared below.

“Despite his ambitions to make it big, Beni is still stuck in the hills, bitter and hurt, struggling to make ends meet by teaching music and singing in clubs. Jyotsna, his estranged student and now a Bollywood singer, left the hills 8 years ago. The town is abuzz with the news of Jyotsna’s return to perform at a music concert. Beni has to come to terms with the pains of the past and the delusions of the present to deal with both, Jyotsna’s presence in the hills and in his life.”

Alongside this, we will also see Mighty Little Bheem on April 12, 2019, and new episodes of Selection Day on April 22nd, 2019.
