Netflix has finally given us what we have been waiting for so long. The Sacred Games trailer starring Saif Ali Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Radhika Apte is out and it is absorbingly gritty and dark. The series will officially mark the entry of Netflix in the significant web series league in the Indian market. Sacred Games is the original Indian series whose story takes place in the backdrop of Mumbai.
The Sacred Games trailer opens with the shot of dynamic actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui saying ‘sometimes I think I am the god.’ Then the central part kicks in as we see Saif Ali Khan, who will be portraying the role of Inspector Sartaj Singh who is on a mission along with Radhika Apte to rid the city of the mighty Ganesh Gaitonde, criminal overlord of G-Company. The trailer is dark and intense showcases a series that will be full of blood and betrayals. Sacred Games braids together a story about the lives of the privileged, the famous, the wretched and the bloodthirsty amid the chaos of modern-day Mumbai. The words uttered by Nawazuddin Siddiqui during the trailer assures you that Sacred Games is going to be a thrilling ride through the roads of the city that never sleeps, Mumbai.
The highlight of the Sacred Games trailer is that it doesn’t brief much about the series. The 8 episode long series will be directed by highly acclaimed directors Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane.
