Lenovo launched exciting new laptops in India. The new Lenovo laptops are aimed at casual users as well as professionals. The Ideapad 530S is more of a professional workhorse, and the Ideapad 330S has a wide variety catering to the needs of casual users to even gamers.

Lenovo Ideapad 530S

The Ideapad 530S is a premium laptop. The specs are top notch and would suit any professional. It sports up to an i7 8550U, a powerful quad-core (octa thread) processor that is power-efficient at the same time, with clocks up to 3.4 GHz. The laptop boasts of an 8-hour battery life with Rapid charge technology. It claims a 2-hour life with 15 just minutes of charge. For storage, it uses an ultra-fast 512 GB M.2 PCIe SSD, that can provide read/write speeds upwards of 1 GB/s.

The Ideapad 530S also comes equipped with 8GB DDR4 RAM clocked at 2400 MHz. The display is a beautiful, bright and color accurate 14-inch IPS panel with a Full-HD or a QHD resolution. We would recommend FHD resolution for this screen size, although if you have that kind of money, QHD is also a great option. The port selection is also satisfactory with an included USB Type-C (Gen 1). At this price point, we would have appreciated at least a Thunderbolt 3 port.

For Graphics, the Ideapad 530S comes equipped with a dedicated Nvidia MX 150. It is a modest GPU and if you are planning to game on it, it will get you through most e-sports. The laptop is quite sleek and light with just a 1.64 cm thickness and a weight on only about 1.5 kg. The Ideapad 530S is a bit on the pricey side and starts a Rs 67,990. If you are a professional, then you can’t go wrong with it.

The laptop comes with a 14-inch screen available in both HD and FHD. We recommend the FHD model because the HD resolution is outdated for laptops. It comes with 8 GB of memory and storage options of 1TB HDD and up to 256 GB SSD.
