The Nokia X5 or the Nokia 5.1 Plus, one of the most awaited budget smartphone, may finally release on July 11 in India. According to leaks, the phone has a notched 5.85-inch FHD+ screen. The phone also has dual cameras.
Nokia has made a comeback recently with HMD Global pouring out all resources to produce great phones. The company launched the Nokia 8, Nokia 6.1 and Nokia 7 plus, which were immensely popular. Nokia combines excellent hardware with robust packaging and the good old-fashioned Nokia trust, at a really low price. The company has kept the Nokia 5 as its budget representative for quite some time.
With the Nokia X5 launch (also known as Nokia 5.1 Plus), Nokia will strengthen their foothold in the budget sector. The Nokia X5 comes loaded with flagship like features. It has a notch, which has become a staple of most flagships. A Face Unlock feature, something that has become somewhat mandatory these days. An FHD+ resolution so that the screen looks as crisp as it can. Dual cameras so you can capture images in Portrait mode and add that sweet Bokeh effect. Storage options of 32GB and 64 GB are available so that you don’t run out of space. Even if you do, the company provides microSD expansion of upto 256 GB on the Nokia 5.1 Plus.
As for remaining features, they are also speculations and leaks at this point. The phone will sport an 8MP sharp selfie-shooter. Not just that, it will have an AI monitored 3000mAh battery to make the phone last long. The phone will come with an octa-core Mediatech Helio processor, with impressive clocks. Some rumours even point to a Snapdragon variant, although we find it too good to be true. A few talks of the phone model actually being Nokia X7 have been going around too.
The new Nokia X5 (or Nokia 5.1 Plus) will launch for 799 Yuan (About Rs 8200) for the 32 GB version and 999 Yuan (About Rs 10300) for the 64GB version. At this price point, with these specs, Nokia may turn out to be an unbeatable contender. We highly recommend the phone. The specs are still not finalized and we won’t know unless we hear a word from Nokia itself. Till the, let’s hope other companies like XIaomi take note (pun intended) and release even better phones for the price.
