Oneplus has been pretty successful with its strategy to provide flagship grade smartphones at an affordable price for last few years. Now the company is extending it’s divisions and moving forward to make a TV.

The company CEO, Pete Lau announced that OnePlus is building a smart TV and he will be leading the division along the OnePlus smartphones. The company will call it the “OnePlus TV“. Lau talked about the 5G and AI, so it might be the smart TV, OnePlus is building will be powered by some AI features, albeit Lau didn’t reveal anything about the TV. so we don’t know whether the smart TV will be based on the Android TV Os or the company is making it custom TV Os.
The smart TV market is growing at a rapid rate for the last few years and Oneplus doesn’t want to miss the opportunity by providing the top-Notch features at rock bottom prices. The OnePlus is not alone in the TV Market, the company’s competitor Xiaomi has already set up its smart TV market.
Lau, in an interview with a spokesperson from BusinessInsider, revealed the OnePlus TV could debut sometime next year. The executive also said to the publication that the offering would be a “premium, flagship TV.”
The OnePlus has launched the Type-C Bullet earphones recently and also confirmed that the upcoming OnePlus 6T will not feature the 3.5mm headphone jack. The OnePlus 6T might be launched on October 17 and falling in line with leaks and rumours, it will feature a waterdrop notch on the top of the display. On the back the smartphone will stack triple camera setup, under the hood, it will be powered by the Snapdragon 845 processor.
