Recently, Oppo launched its budget smartphone Oppo A3 in China. Now, the company is gearing up to launch a cheaper variant of the same, Oppo A3s. If you are a notch “lover” then let me tell you that it might be the most affordable smartphone featuring notch. According to a report by Gadgets 360, the company will soon launch it in India too. While there isn’t much detail available about the smartphone, here is what to expect from it.
Pricing and Variants:
Reports claim that the Oppo A3s will be launched in India in two storage variants – 2GB RAM with 16GB internal storage and 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage. Further it claims that the pricing of Oppo A3s will start from Rs 10,990 in India. The smartphone will come in two colour options – Red and Dark Purple.
The smartphone is expected to come with a 6.2-inch, 19:9, HD+ (1520 x 720 pixels) display with a notch up top. The smartphone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 octa-core processor as compared to Mediatek Helio P60 on Oppo A3, running on Color OS 5.1 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. Talking about camera, it will have a dual camera setup at the back. A primary 13 MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture and 1.25 um pixel size and a secondary 2 MP sensor with f/2.4 aperture and 1um pixel size. At the front, it will have a 8 MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture which will be equipped with OPPO’s AI Beauty Technology 2.0. A huge 4,230mAh battery will power the device. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, support for 4G VoLTE, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
On the design front, there nothing much special to say. According to leaks, it has got a horizontal dual camera setup at the back with an Oppo branding. On the front it has a full screen display with a small chin at the bottom and notch at the top. It may get that cool effect which was found at the back of Oppo Real Me 1.
So all in all considering the price point, it looks a pretty good smartphone. It will be competing with other budget smartphones like Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 and Moto E5 Plus. Let’s see whether the notch takes it to the top or not.
