Philips has launched of a new entry-level smartphone in China today, called the X596. The smartphone was certified by TENNA last month.
The Philips X596 has aluminum alloy material body. Unlike the ongoing trend, the Philips X596 comes with broad bezels on the top and bottom of the phone. Up front, you can see the capacitive buttons. On the rear side, the camera and the fingerprint scanner are placed at the center, with the Philips logo right below it.

The Philips X596 features a 5.5-inch full HD display with 2.5D curved glass on top. Under the hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 octa-core processor which is clocked at 1.4GHz and paired with 4GB of RAM. The phone has two variants one with 32 GB of internal storage and other with 64GB of storage.

The supports a 16-megapixel camera at the rear as well as the front. The rear camera comes with LED flash and Auto Focus and can record 1080p video.
The phone is backed up with a 4,000mAh battery, which supports fast charging. In terms of connectivity, the smartphone comes with dual-SIM, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n), Bluetooth, GPS/AGPS/GLONASS, and micro USB support. On the software front, the smartphone runs Android 7.1 Nougat out-of-the-box.
Philips X596 price and availability:
The phone is currently up for pre-orders and is expected to start shipping from November 5th. The Philips X596 is priced at RMB 1,299 (~Rs 13,000) for 32GB variant and RMB 1,499 (~Rs 15,000) for the 64GB variant. Currently it is only available in china and there is no information of availability for other markets.
