Qualcomm Snapdragon 8150, 6150 & 7150 chipsets are on the way

Smartphones these days are getting more powerful with powerful processors. Recently, we have seen some powerful processors like the Huawei Kirin 980 and Apple’s A12 Bionic chipset, both the chipsets are based on new 7nm process and perform outstandingly on the Geekbench Tests. Talking about the Qualcomm, which has the largest in producing chipsets for the Android device, has Snapdragon 845 as the powerful player, but the new chipsets by the Huawei, that is, Kirin 980 was seen to surpass the SD 845, and also, Snapdragon has not updated its flagship grade processor for a long time. But according to a report by WinFuture, finally, it seems that the wait is almost over as Qualcomm Snapdragon 8150, the flagship chipset is on the way along with Qualcomm Snapdragon 6150 & 7150 chipsets are on the way.

Talking about the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8150, this will be the new flagship chipset by the company which will feature the same design as the Huawei Kirin 980 and will be made with the 7nm process for placing more transistors per unit area for more power efficiency and better performance. The upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 8150 will be powering the flagship device lineup and can be seen in the Samsung Galaxy S lineup, and we are expecting the next Samsung Galaxy S device, that is, Galaxy S10 to feature a Snapdragon 8150 variant too. Other than this, the next Oneplus device may feature the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8150.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 6150 and 7150, on the other hand, will power the mid-range devices, it will the upgraded version of the Snapdragon 636 and 660. Unlike SD 8150, the SD 6150 and 7150 chipsets will be built on the 11nm manufacturing process for more power efficiency and better performance as compared to the current mid-range chipsets. The mid-range aimed chipsets will support better display resolution, the Snapdragon 6150 will support display of up to 2160×1080 resolution, whereas, the Snapdragon 7150 will support resolution up to 2880×1440 pixels. The new chipsets may support the 5G connectivity too, though it is not confirmed yet, we are expecting this, but we will post the information as soon as possible, stay tuned to VoStory for more.
