Shamshera- Karam Se Dacait, Dharam Se Azaad
Ranbir Kapoor is one of the most celebrated actors and film producers in Bollywood. He gained fame due to his hit films like Wake Up Sid, romantic drama ‘Rockstar’ and romantic comedy ‘Barfi’. The award-winning actor has bagged Filmfare too for some of his movies and also assisted renowned director Sanjay Leela Bhansali on ‘Black’. He is also the co-founder of Picture Shuru Production company.
Ranbir Kapoor is now in news for his upcoming movie, Shamshera, which is directed by ‘Agnipath’ and ‘Brothers’ famed Karan Malhotra under the banner of the renowned brand in the industry, Yash Raj Films (YRF). The teaser out by YRF’s of Shamshera portrayed Ranbir Kapoor as a peculiar decoit, the actor till now has showcased us his lover-boy image but in this action-adventure, he is seen with an axe, arrows and rope in his hands, giving a tough and scary look. Ranbir seemingly has strained his every nerve to work out of his comfort zone by trying his hand on an off-genre film this time. Ranbir’s recent release is going to be a biopic on Sanjay Dutt, titled as “Sanju” which is scheduled to hit the theatres on 29th June.
Talking about Shamshera, Ranbir, in a statement said, “Shamshera is exactly the film I was looking for. While growing up watching Hindi commercial cinema, I had an image of what a film hero should be doing. Shamshera allows me to do everything that I had imagined and it’s a very exciting project for me. Karan is going to take me completely out of my comfort zone and I’m looking forward to this challenge.”
Shamshera is said to be out on big screens by the mid of 2019 as the commencement will begin by the end of 2018. Kapoor is also shooting for Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra along with Alia Bhatt
