On the split of the company, Madhev comments that this was on papers for quite some time and the aim was to target the low-end mobile phone buyers by providing a better value for the money, which somewhere lacked by Oppo. He also mentioned that as an independent company it will be able to experiment a lot and will not have any burdens for the well-established brand Oppo.

But still, the company will use the customers care support and other services of Oppo as it is already widespread. Even for the manufacturing of the devices, the units of Oppo will be used. He said that BBK Electronics the investor in Vivo, Oppo, OnePlus and in Realme doesn’t interfere with day to day affairs of the company or product development cycle.
