redmi 6 pro mi pad 4 launch

In yet another exciting news, the new Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro and Mi Pad 4 is going to launch in an event on June 25. This is one of the most awaited launches as both the Redmi and Mi Pad lineup are pretty sought after in the mainstream community and by people on a budget.

Here’s a quick rundown on the specs :

Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro

redmi 6 pro

The Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro is a budget device from Xiaomi that has all the premium features of a flagship. The budget smartphone has a beautiful 5.84-inch FHD+ screen with a 19:9 aspect ratio and a notch on the top. Redmi 6 Pro is the first phone with the Redmi moniker to sport a notch.

It is also going to be the first non-Note Redmi phone with dual cameras (12 MP and 5 MP). Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro will have a sharp 8 MP front camera. The processor will be Snapdragon 625 SoC, giving it a bit more power than usual Redmi phones. The storage options will be 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB. The respective memory SKUs will be 2 GB, 3 GB and 4 GB.
Like most standard Redmi phones, it will have a 4000 mAh battery and an IR blaster on top. Unfortunately, it still retains the micro USB port, instead of the now standard USB Type-C. We hope the future versions will finally bring the standard to the Redmi phones.

Xiaomi Mi Pad 4

Mi Pad 4 concept

The Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 is the successor to famous Xiaomi Mi Pad 3. It will supposedly retain most of the looks (metallic uni-body design). The tablet will include a shorter 6000 mAh battery (hopefully software optimizations will compensate for the reduction). There aren’t many leaks out there for Mi pad 4, so there is limited information available about it. As for speculations, it may finally have a stereo speaker design, no dual cameras on the rear. We can expect a few performance upgrades.

Final Verdict

Xiaomi has been a game changer and has brought so many devices to the mainstream that there is almost an invisible divide between premium and budget. There are some rumours that suggest that Redmi 6 Pro might not release in India, or may release under a different name. Also, there are also rumors that Xiaomi will launch Mi Max 3 along with Redmi 6 Pro and Mi Pad 4 in the same event. Fingers crossed till the launch!
