Samsung has Galaxy Unpacked event on August 9 where the company will be launching its new flagship Samsung Galaxy Note 9. It is quite possible that we may see Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 in that event. Some reports also say that the company will unveil its next generation Galaxy Tab S at IFA Berlin in September this year. So its quite clear that the device will be launched this year if everything goes according to schedule. A new report by SamMobile revealed the all the specifications of the Galaxy Tab S4. The tablet had recently passed US FCC certification and was spotted on GFXBench. Here is what to expect from the device.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 will feature a 10.5-inch 2560×1600 pixel resolution Super AMOLED display with an aspect ratio of 16:10. The tab will be powered by the previous generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset underneath and will be running on Android 8.1 out of the box. Talking about storage, it will have 4GB RAM along with 64GB internal storage which I think will be expandable. On the connectivity front, it will have a USB 3.1 port, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS and Wi-Fi 802.11 ac. A 7300mAh battery will power the device. It is said to feature a 13-megapixel rear and 8-megapixel front camera as well.
The Galaxy Tab S4 will also have AKG-tuned audio, and support for Samsung DeX, allowing you to transform the slate into more of a PC by connecting it to a dock and a monitor. Leaks also suggest that an all-new S Pen has been designed for the Galaxy Tab S4.
A recent report suggests that the Samsung’s new tab will not have a fingerprint scanner instead it will rely just on an iris scanner as security option. That makes sense, as we’ve seen images of the tablet with no fingerprint scanner in sight, though it still has fairly large bezels.
