The Japenese smartphone manufacturer Sharp has launched a new smartphone dubbed Sharp Aquos R2 Compact. The major thing to note about the smartphone is that is houses two notches, one waterdrop notch at the top and a wider notch at the bottom. Let’s have a look at the specifications of the smartphone.

Sharp Aquos R2 Compact is equipped with a 5.2-inch full-HD+ display with a resolution of (1080×2280 pixels) and is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 glass protection. As aforementioned, it houses two notches, one waterdrop notch at the top for the front camera. Another wider notch at the bottom to feature the fingerprint sensor.
Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 845 SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage that can be expanede via MicroSD Card Slot up to 512GB.
In the photography department, the smartphone gets a 22.6 Megapixel camera on the back with f/1.9 aperture and high-speed autofocus. It also features OIS and EIS for image stabilization. On the front, the phone gets an 8 Megapixel camera with f/2.2 aperture.
The smartphone is fueled by a 2,500 mAh battery and as far as connectivity is concerned it includes 4G VoLTE, GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth v5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, and USB Type-C port.

There are no words about the pricing of the smartphone, yet. It will be available in Japan from mid-January via Softbank.
