The Japanese company Sony just launched its flagship smartphone the Xperia XZ3 at the ongoing event IFA 2018. However, the smartphone is not just the thing which company has to showcase.

The company has launched a New smart speaker SRS-XB501G powered by the tech giant’s virtual assistant – the Google Assistant. Talking about the built of the speaker, it houses a large woofer at the centre and above it, two drivers are placed at an angle to provide a good surrounded sound in a large area.

The speaker can be connected with different mediums like Bluetooth, NFC and wifi. As it is powered by the Google Assistant it can also be controlled by the voice.

The smart speaker is rated IP65 which makes it water and splash resistant. The speaker is built with hard plastic and features a handle on the rear side to carry it and a standard tripod screw is also housed at the bottom. The device is lighted up with the Sony’s LED system on the front.

Another great thing about the device that Sony is touting is the battery that powers the beast. The company claims that the speaker will last whopping 16 hours on single charge. Over that, it can be charged via in box AC adaptor or via a USB C port on the rear side. No this not enough, the speaker can also act as a power bank to charge all your devices.

All this is bundled at a price of $299.9 and it will be available from October.
