Sony is bringing Venom to life with Tom Hardy

Sony Pictures is working on another most anticipated superhero movie project that is ‘Venom’ from Marvel comics. The official announcement was made during the Sao Paulo comic con. Sony gave few details regarding the live-action film on Venom and film’s director Ruben Fleischer appeared live through video conference. The audience also got a pleasant surprise at the end of video conference when Tom Hardy made the appearance.

Apparently, the announcement didn’t include any teaser trailer or poster launch however we got our hands on the logo of the movie. The logo looks good, and it would have been nice we got to see some images from the production. Hardy will be portraying the title role where he is attacked by the alien symbiote and which ultimately leads to him becoming Venom. In this Hardy will be using motion capture technology to bring Spidey’s arch nemesis to life. We earlier got to see the same character in Sam Raimi’s Spiderman but at that time character was poorly developed.

As per the other details shared during the brief announcement, the movie will be based on the two of the comic book runs Lethal Protector and Planet of the Symbiotes. In Lethal Protector, we see Venom and Peter Parker agreeing to leave each other alone as long as Venom doesn’t commit any more crimes, so Venom packs up and leaves NYC for San Francisco—indeed. Hardy also told that currently shooting is taking place in the San Fransico itself.

In the second one, we see both of them coming together to defeat a number of alien symbiotes like Carnage. However, for this Sony has confirmed that Tom Holland will not be part of the movie. Other than that all details regarding the film are mostly under wraps. And we just have confirmation that Carnage will be the primary villain in the movie.
