DC’s Titans trailer was released recently in the SDCC. The trailer was released on 19th July. For the fans who have been eagerly expecting Titans’ debut, this was a pleasant surprise. The trailer gave the fans first look of their superheroes.

Fans who were already have seen some leaked pictures, and some set pictures as well were awaiting the official release. “For the sake of our incredible fans – I hated that this is the first picture people are seeing.” Anna Diop (Starfire) said in a social media post when the photos were leaked. “It’s out of context and it’s a misrepresentation of the incredible character I get to play. And also a misrepresentation of the phenomenal production behind it all.”

From the official release we can say that the cast of the Titans will include Brenton Thwaites (Dick Grayson/Robin), Teagan Croft (Raven), Anna Diop (Starfire/Koriand’r), Lindsey Gort (Amy Rohrbach), Minka Kelly (Dawn Granger/Dove), Ryan Potter (Beast Boy), Alan Ritchson (Hank Hall/Hawk), April Bowlby (Elasti-Girl), Jake Michaels (Cliff Steele), Dwain Murphy (Negative Man), Seamus Dever (Robot Man), and Bruno Bichir (The Chief). The series is being produced by Geoff Johns, Greg Berlanti, and Akiva Goldsman.

As the trailer shows, Dick has grown up to be a police officer. As an adult, he will lead the Titans. The trailer also gives looks at the rest of the Titans, including Raven (Teagan Croft), Beast Boy (Ryan Potter), and Starfire (Anna Diop).

Speaking to a group of reporters, DC Entertainment Publisher and Chief Creative Officer Jim Lee said that the 10-episode first season of Titans would launch with the service. From there, the goal is to debut a new episode of original content–Young Justice: Outsiders, Doom Patrol, Swamp Thing, etc.–every week, 52 weeks a year.

The Official Synopsis of the Titans is as follows –

“Titans follows young heroes from across the DC Universe as they come of age and find belonging in a gritty take on the classic Teen Titans franchise. Dick Grayson and Rachel Roth, a special young girl possessed by strange darkness, get embroiled in a conspiracy that could bring Hell on Earth. Joining them along the way are the hot-headed Starfire and loveable Beast Boy. Together they become a surrogate family and a team of heroes.”

A launch date has not been announced for the DC Universe streaming service just yet. However, it’s expected to launch in the fall.
