So, here’s, Top 10 best photo editing apps for Android & iOS
In the top 10 list, the first entry is Google’s Snapseed. The best app out there to edit photos like a pro comes with a collection of filters and a variety of tools, and integration of both gives a perfect snap. Talking about the app user interface firstly, and according to us, the app UI is not so easy to use, in your first ever use, you might get confused with a Tool tray, which features a total of 28 tools. But this is not a problem at all, you might start slow, but it’s get handy later. Talking about filters, Snapseed features a variety of filters, pretty good collection, some of them are outdated, but available filters are good indeed.
One feature of Google Snapseed that makes it special, is its Selective tool. Using this tool, you can change Brightness, Contrast, Saturation, and Details of a particular part in the photo, the tool gives a little confusion at first, but it’s easy to use. Other than this, the app features all the basing editing like brightness, saturation, shadows, crop, details, text, lens blur and more. We strongly recommend you to download the app which is available for free on Google Play store and discover it on your own once.
2. TOOLWIZ PHOTOS
Toolwiz Photos is another pro editing application available on Google Play store for free. The app features a lot of options, a lot more than the famous Snapseed other than editing, like Slide Show, Music Show. But our main interest is in photo editing features. First of all, the app user interface is good, the app seems very handy, even on the first impression, all tools, are well defined and easy to manage. Talking about tools and filters, Toolwiz has loads of tools and filters, one need to spend a decent amount of time to try all and learn.
The features that make this app the topper of the photo editor app list is its variety of tools. From basic editing like cropping to advance editing like photo cutouts. Not only this it also features art editing and fancy portrait editings like skin smoothening, red-eye correction, face tune and many more. Even the app has a big amount of features in the library, still, the app allows to download more of them free of cost, that’s insane. The one feature that app lacks is the selective editing of a portion of the app, as in Snapseed.
3. PHOTO DIRECTOR
After Toolbox the next in the list is Photo Director, and surprisingly the app works so fine with adequate filter collection and variety of tools, the app UI is basic, and that makes it suitable for a normal user experience without any muddle. Photos in the app can be edited using tools and basic tuning, like brightness, contrast, saturation can be done easily. And not only this the other advanced tools like healing, cutout are also great, and in our usage, all proved to be of great productivity.
One noticeable tool is Splash, which is basically a color drop feature, or in easy words, you can choose a specific color to glow while other get faded. Overall app is fine and productive, but you will definitely find the limited number of filters a problem.
4. PICS ART
Fourth in the list is popular app PicsArt, probably first of the apps that provided a variety of editing tools for photos. Talking about the app design and user interface, the app is great in this terms and easy to use, a variety of tools and filters are classified in various titles and the user won’t face any type of difficult managing it. Talking about the tools and features of PicsArt, the app has all the basic editing like crops and tilt-shift, and in advance editing, it has a free crop, selection tools, stretch and the special cutout tool, and the filters are also inadequate in number.
Other than this, the app has stickers, the text option, the cutout feature, using which the photo can be separated out from the background and in every filter, there is an option to erase a part of a filter, and this seems very nice. The text option is available but the font available doesn’t give the classic look, and also you won’t see any basic photo adjustment options like brightness, contrast, saturation. Like Toolwiz photo editor app, PicsArt doesn’t have the selective tool, but all other features overcome that.

5. ADOBE PHOTOSHOP LIGHTROOM CC
Another app in the top 10 list is the basic mobile version of the famous photo editor Adobe. Obviously, the app won’t do much editing as the original software does, but the company tried to provide much of it. App UI gives a smooth experience and features a lot of tools and filters. The filter library is inadequate amount and quality of filters are really awesome. Lightroom allows basic photo tuning like sharpness, contrast, shadows, but all advanced tools are not free to use, which is a little disadvantage as compared to others because tech giant Google also features the same tools for free in Snapseed.
Sixth in the top 10 list is the Airbrush photo editor app, which is available on Google Play store and free to download. UI of Airbrush app looks so fine. The app is mainly concentrated on beautify editing. Editing tools provided are limited but works very fine. Talking about the filters, the app has a good amount of filters, like B/W, Vintage and more. The noticeable feature of the app is the portrait editing.
Polar is another app features a variety of tools and filters, but the reason that Polar is seventh on the list is its user interface. On the very first use of the app the experience might not be very smooth, we personally find it little tricky, but after spending some time with the app all mess up get solved. Talking about the editing tools, you will find every basic photo tuning and tools. With the help of advanced tools, easily transform your snap into a beautiful creation.
Next photo editor is Fotor available on Playstore for free. FOTOR is our favorite app when it comes to a clean and best UI and standard filters. You will never feel hassle with this app, even you will use it for the first time. The app features all basic and advances photo tuning, like brightness, contrast, shadows, saturation, and more. But when it comes to tools, Fotor lacks here, but the things that make it desirable it the filter library, which is awesome.
Next in the list is Aviary photo editor. Aviary will be the best photo editing app if the user doesn’t want much complex app or a pro editing app. The app UI is simple, no subcategories are included, this is a simple and basic app, provides basic editing tools and photo tuning tools. And not only this, the filter collection is not limited, you can download more at any time.
The noticeable features are the blue effect and the meme creator in Aviary. The text addition feature also works fine, with a collection of fonts. The app is available on Google Play store and can be downloaded for free
10. AFTER LIGHT
Last but not the least, After Light is lighter in terms of features as compared to other apps. If you in search of an app which provides the support of fundamental editing only with no other fancy editing, like face beauty, sticker, then this app is definitely for you. The amazing mixture of fundamental editing and awesome filters is worth giving this app a place in the top 10 list. The app is popular with 1 million downloads, even, it doesn’t support any special editing tool.
The noticeable feature in After Light editor is the special effects, which not only are available in a wide variety but looks so classic. And like other, you can directly share your edited creation to the social media apps. The app is available on Google Play store, can be downloaded for free, but you need to pay for in-app purchases.
