1. Navigation Gestures:
The realme 2 pro has a full view display like most of the smartphone of 2018. So having traditional virtual buttons on the bottom of the screen ruins the experience of full view display. The Apple is the launch of it’s iPhone X in 2017 introduced a new way to navigate through phones aka navigation Gestures that means there are no buttons, just have to swipe to go back, view recent apps etc. Since then it became a trend and almost all Android smartphone OEMs started to include this feature in their smartphones, even in the latest Android 9 pie that they by default.
So, the Realme 2 Pro also comes with navigation Gestures. To enable them you just have to dive into the settings of your phone and then choose “Smart & Convenient” and then “Navigation-Keys“.
How navigation Gestures works in Realme 2 pro:
- Swipe from bottom center to go to the home screen.
- Swipe from the bottom center and hold to view recent apps.
- Swipe from left or right bottom to go back.
2. Record Screen :
Screen recording is a very useful tool. There are a lot of apps on the play store to record the screen of the Smartphone. But if you get the feature by default in the smartphone, then nothing can be better than that.
Realme 2 Pro has a very simple way to record the screen of the Smartphone. To record the screen on Realme 2 pro just swipe down the navigation menu and tap on the option “Start Screen Recording”.
As you tap on the Start screen recording option, it will take you to the settings and there you choose between a few options like record screen sound and what should be the resolution of the video.
3. Dual Apps.
Dual apps or clone apps means running two same apps like two WhatsApp, Facebook etc, on a single phone at a time. Dual apps can be very handy in keeping the business and personal life separate.
To enable the second (clone) app for an app just dive into the settings and head over to “Clone Apps” and there will be a list of apps that are supported for the functionality of the clone app. Just tap on the toggle along with the app that you want and the second app for that app will be created and you can easily you both the apps simultaneously.
How to identify the second app created: The clone app created will be present along with all other apps with a mark, so it’s pretty simple to identify the second app.
4. Swipe Three fingers to take Screenshots.
Taking a screenshot a very must feature on the Smartphone. I love this feature of the Smartphone. But I hate the traditional power us volume button to take the screenshot. The Realme 2 Pro has a much easier way to take the screenshot.
On Realme 2 Pro just swipe with three fingers from the top of the display to the bottom to take a screenshot. So, isn’t the easiest way to get take the screenshot.
But by default, the option might not be enabled. So just dive into Settings -> Smart & Convenient -> Gesture & Motion and enable the “3-Finger Screenshot”.
5. App split (Multi-window)
The feature is also of one of the favorite features in the smartphone. With App split feature you can use two apps at a time. Think it like watching a YouTube video on half Screen and chatting with your friends on the other half of the screen.
The Realme 2 Pro also has this great feature. To use the App split feature just swipe with three fingers from the bottom of the display to the top when using an app and you will be in app-split mode where you can choose the second app you want to use.
By default, the App split feature might be disabled. So to enable the App split feature just head to Settings -> App Split-screen and turn on the toggle in front of it Also enable the swipe up with 3 fingers for split-screen option below it to use the gesture.
6. Assistive Ball :
This is a very unique feature of the Realme 2 Pro, if you like the traditional buttons to navigate through the phone, you can use the Navigation gestures as explained above. But if even don’t like these navigation gestures then there is one more option on the Realme 2 pro called Assistive Ball. Assistive Ball is basically a floating widget that can be dragged anywhere on the display and help you to navigate through the phone from anywhere on the display.
How to enable the Assistive ball: Just head to the Settings -> Smart & Convenient -> Assistive Ball and turn on the toggle along it.
How the Assistive ball feature works:
- Single Tap to go back.
- Double Tap for the Multitasking.
- Touch and Hold to go to Home screen.
Ceratin options like to transparency of the ball and the option to hide the ball in full-screen mode are also available inside the settings that you choose as per your desire.
7. Gestures While Screen is OFF.
These are the gestures that will work when the display is off. This feature is also one of my favorites as it makes a lot easier to launch a few things very quickly.
Some of the Gestures are listed below :
- Double tap to turn on the Screen.
- Draw O to open the camera App.
- Draw V to light up the torch.
- Draw || to pause/play a song, draw < or > to switch the track if you are listening to the music.
How to Enable the Screen Off gestures: You just have to go to Settings -> Smart & Convenient -> Gesture & Motion -> Screen-off Gestures and turn on the toggle along it.
You can also Add more gestures as per your desire by tapping on the “Add a screen-off Gesture” in the settings itself.
8. Enable Show Battery Percent :
Battery Percent of the smartphone is the basic thing that everyone is concerned about. Having the battery percent indicator is really helpful as it let you know the exact percent of the battery left on your smartphone.
On the Realme 2 Pro, the battery percent indicator is hidden by default. You have to enable it by going to the settings.
So to enable the battery percent indicator head to the Settings -> Notification & Status Bar -> Battery Percentage and then turn on the toggle along it.
9. Enable Network Speed.
Another very great feature is the real-time battery percent indicator on the top. This feature helps you to know the internet speed of either the mobile data or the wifi depending on what you are using. With this feature, you don’t have to rely on the speed test app to measure your network speed.
So to enable the Real-time network speed indicator head to the Settings -> Notification & Status Bar -> Show Real Time Network Speed and then turn on the toggle along it.
10. Enable Night Mode :
If you are a night owl and use your smartphone mostly at night in dark, then the night mode feature on the realme 2 Pro can be very useful to you. What the Night Mode feature does is that it reduces the brightness and changes the color so that the display doesn’t strain your eyes.
To enable or turn on the Night mode, just swipe down the Notification menu and tap on the Night Mode option. Inside the settings, you can also adjust the color temperature to the cooler or warmer as per your liking. You can also Schedule a time so that the night mode turns on automatically.
