Vir Das, the renowned actor/comedian is set to take the centre stage once again in his upcoming stand-up act for Netflix titled, Losing It. This will be his second show on the streaming platform. His first outing with Netflix was titled Abroad Understanding which revolved around politics, nationalism and new elected US president Donald Trump. The stand up was a huge success which leads to his appearance on the major TV show Conan.
Now with his second stand up Losing It he is all set to land attack on the patriarchy that is prevalent in the Indian society and how India media uses it. Alongside this, he will talk about his harsh views on male mentality and how it is affecting the world we live in. The explosive, rant-filled trailer for Losing It was revealed a day back and gives you a very small glimpse of, What seems to be a joyful and crazy ride.
While talking about Losing It, Vir Das said that ” Losing It has been written basis my experiences of travel, politics amongst other things. I am excited to see what the audience’s response is when it releases next week. I am hoping it gets the same love the audiences gave Abroad understanding.”
The actor/comedian has achieved new heights in recent years because of his engaging and realistic content. The most unique thing about his stance is that it is addressed to the worldwide audience rather than focusing on a particular region or religion.
Apart from stand up acts, he has been part of some interesting films as well, including, Go Goa Gone, Delhi Belly, Shivaay, Shaadi ke Side Effects and Love Aaj Kal.
