Vishal Bhardwaj Directing Midnight’s Children For Netflix

The plot of the novel appropriately fits in the genre loved by Vishal Bhardwaj. It will be a huge and interesting challenge for him to bring this amazing story to life. The earlier adaption of the novel by ace director Deepa Mehta was not that well received hence there will be a huge pressure on Vishal to deliver a gem of a series. Both Netflix and Vishal are well suited for the story like this as in a series format Vishal will have more creative freedom and ability add layers to the characters that will only enhance the whole story.

We are incredibly excited to translate this pioneering work of fiction that parallels the birth of modern India, for a global audience.”
