The Chinese manufacturer Vivo is all set to launch the most innovative smartphone on the planet – the Vivo Nex in India today. The smartphone was launched last month in China and the main highlight of this phone is it’s pop up selfie camera and the truly bezel-less display.
Vivo NEX specifications :
The smartphone sports a 6.59-inch Super AMOLED FullView Display with a screen-to-body ratio of 91.24 percent as claimed by the company with a resolution of 2316 x 1080 pixels. The earpiece of the phone is embedded within the screen or what the company says it is Screen SoundCasting Technology. Further, all the sensors on the device are also hidden under the display. The smartphone is powered by the latest and the fastest Snapdragon 845 SoC coupled with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.
Vivo NEX Cameras :
As the smartphone has Zero bezel display, in order to house the front camera Vivo had to come up with a unique idea to feature the front-facing camera. The 8-megapixel front-facing pops out of the phone when you open the camera app.
On the rear side, there’s a vertically stacked dual camera setup with a 12-megapixel camera as the primary sensor which is Sony IMX363 sensor with 1.4μm pixels, f/1.8 aperture, and four-axis optical image stabilization and a 5-megapixel camera as the secondary sensor and comes with features like Slow Motion, Backlight HDR, Live Photo, Portrait mode, Panorama, Time Lapse, Face Beauty, AR Stickers, Filters.
The phone runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with FunTouch OS skin applied on top. On the security front, the device sports a third generation in-display fingerprint sensor. The phone is fueled by a 4,000 mAh battery and comes with a lot of extra features like AI-based virtual assistant dubbed Jovi, and for the sound, it has a 7.1-channel 3D audio system.
Two models of the phone the Vivo Nex A and Vivo Nex S were launched in China. While the Nex A was priced at 3,898 yuan (Roughly Rs. 41,000), the Nex S with 128GB and 256GB storage variants was priced at 4,498 yuan (Roughly Rs. 47,300) and 4,998 yuan (Approximately Rs 52,000), respectively.
