How Wasp’s Suit Is Way More Advanced Than Ant-Man’s

Wasp's Suit

Ant-Man and the Wasp is set to release this July with the main heroes girlfriend and his Hank’s daughter dons the suit of Wasp for the first time. When Hope Van Dyne becomes a superhero, the wasp’s suit she wears is way more advanced that Ant-Man’s. In the mid-credit scene of the Ant-Man, Hank Pym reveals the Wasp’s suit to her daughter Hope and hinting that she will be coming as a superhero.

Thanks to her father, Hope’s suit is way more advanced that Scott’s suit. While we saw a scene in the trailer where Scott’s humorous bitter reaction came after seeing what Hope can do with her suit. Not only can she fly thanks to wings that retract from the back of her suit – whereas Ant-Man himself needs to ride flying ants for aerial transport – the Wasp’s uniform comes equipped with “Wasp stinger” blasters, offensive weapons Scott doesn’t have. But it turns out the Wasp’s suit can do much more than that.

Evangeline Lilly explains a bit more about her suit – “My suit is – it’s an upgrade from Scott Lang’s suit that he was wearing, ’cause he was wearing Hank’s original suit from the 1960s. So what we are able to do with technology and my suit is, I have blasters on my wrists. I have my wings. Essentially, there is a reaction system to what I’m thinking.”

“So I don’t have to do anything physically to activate shrinking wings, blasters, growing, none of that. I just think it and it happens… And I think, it’s sort of similar to Iron Man because you never see him press buttons or do anything. Things just happen. So I assume there’s like a tech… That there’s something hooked up to my brain through the helmet and somehow it’s reading what I’m thinking.”

While the actress said that Ant-Man has to press a button to shrink or grow, her system is completely autonomous and hooked up to her neural network. Whatever she wants, her suit provides her with that. Judging by what Evangeline said, Wasps suit is much modern and advanced than we originally thought, her suit is on a level of her own and presently Ant-Man can only sit back and use his analogue suit until Marvel decides to give him the upgrades. But still there’s something even Hope cannot do with her super-upgraded suit that Ant-Man’s suit can do – grow into a 60 feet tall giant man and that’s only Ant-Man’s suit can pull off without anything going sideways.

So, with the upgrades, the Wasp is sure to be a badass superhero but Ant-Man still rules the basic feature of the suit.
