The shared photos from the parking show outdated car models and a District of Columbia fire engine. The 1980s era can play a significant role in the development of Wonder Woman’s character. It was an era historical characterised by excess, Cold War dread and paranoia regarding intrusion into private’s lives and government control.
Most probably the movie will be set in 1984 as both DC film’s Geoff Johns and Patty Jenkins teased the 1984 setting by sharing the ‘WW84’ logo which significantly points toward 84. When the logo came out a lot of fans took on the internet to showcase their poster art, and each of them is amazing. Talking about the movie on recently held CinemaCon Patty said that “[Wonder Woman is an] optimistic and positive character, This film set in the ’80s, she has to deal with the temptation of our world, and face extraordinary odds.”
It feels good to know when director is so much involved in the movie, you can expect pure entertainment from the film when it comes out. Jenkins has also mentioned earlier that this time she is more than happy to unleash all the powers of Wonder Woman without focusing on telling her origin story. Jenkins also added “The greatest thing about making this movie was the fact that you’re really building to the Wonder Woman that we all love, but not until the end of the movie, The most exciting thing about [the sequel] is literally seeing her loose in the world now, living those classic stories. Here’s Wonder Woman, and what can she do?”
